Zynq 7-Series by Xilinx is a System on Chip (SoC) combining an ARM Cortex®-A9 microprocessor with a Xilinx Artix®-7 field-programmable gate array (FPGA).
Developers can now leverage the friendly confines of the ARM ecosystem alongside the reconfigurability and speed of an FPGA, making for a powerful – yet deeply usable – tool for building highly integrated systems.
The pre-certified Texas Instruments WiLink™ 8 wireless module provides for 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Wireless access point, Wi-Fi direct, mesh networking, and up to 100Mbps data rates are supported out of the box.
For power-sensitive applications, an onboard STMicroelectronics STM32 ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller allows for “deep-sleep” standby modes.
