What is snickerdoodle?

(hover to find out)

snickerdoodle is a prototype-to-production platform for building high-integrity IoT products.

The familiarity of an ARM processor.

The flexibility of programmable logic.

The convenience of wireless connectivity.

The size of a business card.

Be prepared to take your idea from zero to market in no time flat.

ZynqTM Inside

Zynq 7-Series by Xilinx is a System on Chip (SoC) combining an ARM Cortex®-A9 microprocessor with a Xilinx Artix®-7 field-programmable gate array (FPGA).

Developers can now leverage the friendly confines of the ARM ecosystem alongside the reconfigurability and speed of an FPGA, making for a powerful – yet deeply usable – tool for building highly integrated systems.

Be Connected.

The pre-certified Texas Instruments WiLink™ 8 wireless module provides for 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. Wireless access point, Wi-Fi direct, mesh networking, and up to 100Mbps data rates are supported out of the box.

For power-sensitive applications, an onboard STMicroelectronics STM32 ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller allows for “deep-sleep” standby modes.

What They’re Saying

Coolest FPGA maker board ever.

Daniel S., Indianapolis, IN (USA)

Exceedingly cool, and we can’t wait to see what people will build with a small, fast ARM board coupled to an FPGA.

Brian Benchoff, Hackaday

As a college student on a robotics design team utilizing a lot of ROS-heavy processes, snickerdoodle looks like exactly what we need.

Matthew C., Blacksburg, VA (USA)

The flexible, abundant GPIO options makes snickerdoodle better suited for more complicated tasks that Raspberry Pi simply can’t handle.

Brad Chacos, PCWorld

I just LOVE your idea and product. I am a  professional trader and snickerdoodle + giggleBits looks like a potential trader’s appliance to me.

Michael J., Boston, MA (USA)

They exemplify what can be done with a configurable Zynq-based system. When all the pins are customizable, then nearly anything is possible.

David Scheltema, Make: Magazine

I am full of excitement thinking about the possibilities where I can incorporate snickerdoodle in future neuroscience laboratory tasks.

Jan Z., New York, NY (USA)

snickerdoodle sets the stage for the future of making.

Cabe Atwell, SolidSmack

I’m really amazed (by) what you are doing with snickerdoodle as I’ve always dreamt of such a multi-core system that utilizes FPGAs.

Roland M., Székesfehérvár, Hungary

snickerdoodle appears to be the most affordable single-board computers yet to run on the Xilinx Zynq system-on-chip.

Eric Brown, LinuxGizmos

I just wanted to thank you for designing and building the snickerdoodle board and making it available for a very reasonable price.

Karl P., Dallas, TX (USA)

I am amazed by what you are doing. What you are doing is simply beautiful. My hat off to you. You guys are a blessing to the world.
