NXPTM transceivers enable up to 1080p TV / 1600 x 1200 UXGA (60Hz) video—as well as 8-channel, 32-bit/192kHz audio—HDMI 1.4 input and output via Type A receptacles.

By piping high-definition video directly into snickerdoodle’s FPGA via HDMI, piSmasher enables the rapid development of computer vision, image processing, encoding, overlay, and other high-performance video applications.

Dual Marvell® Alaska® PHYs tied to snickerdoodle’s programmable logic provide two simultaneous 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet connections via RJ45 with support for time-sensitive networking (TSN).

Example use cases include: real-time networking, low-latency video encoding/decoding, industrial automation, EtherCAT, and stereo GigE Vision.

Mic Check.

A dedicated audio CODEC supplies 24-bit stereo playback and a speaker driver (line out), mono recording with a 192kHz ADC (line in), and a stereo headphone driver with microphone input (headset) via 3.5mm jacks.

This added audio input/output functionality opens snickerdoodle up to a variety of uses like far-field audio processing, voice recognition and control, improved user interfaces, audio feedback, and more.
