Why does snickerdoodle have LPDDR2 instead of DDR3?

For snickerdoodle, using DDR3 over LPDDR2 actually doesn’t provide any performance advantages—due to the Zynq’s memory bus—and DDR3 consumes considerably more power. As far as the amount of RAM is concerned, 1GB is as high as these parts can accommodate.
